Handcrafted Jewelry
Handcrafted jewelry makes a unique accessory and lets you stand out from the crowd!
I've been making handmade jewelry for several years now and am always changing my artistic creations so that I can stretch the limits of my ability. Some examples of my latest creations are shown below and you can check out all of my handcrafted jewelry at my shop on Ruby Lane.
Do you make handcrafted jewelry?
Many people love to express themselves by creating and what better way than to make jewelry that you can wear or give to your friends. If you are an avid
handcrafter, then you might be looking for other venues to sell your jewelry at and, maybe, even make some money at it!
Here's some things you might want to think about if you are getting into selling your own handcrafted jewelry:
1. Home Jewelry Parties – Some very sucessful handcrafted jewelers have start out with home parties. This works like a pampered chef or home goods party where you invite friends over for dinner or snacks and then display your jewels. Make sure you have lots of mirrors so they can try things on and it might be in your best interest to buy some nice velvet jewelry displays so your handcrafted goodies can look their best.
2. Fairs– There's plenty of fairs in every town where artisans are welcome to bring and sell their handcrafted items. These are particularly popylar around the holidays. You might want to have some business cards made up so you can take orders for custom made items!
3. Online – You can sell your handcrafted jewelry in online malls and even on ebay. Be farwarned however, that the ebay prices are very low for handcrafted items. You'd be better off at a nice mall like Ruby Lane where customers appreciate find hand made items and will pay a good price for them.
Of course you could always try your own website, but getting traffic to a site is no easy task and an already established mall may be your best bet.
